Gail is available to engagingly deliver public and customized keynote presentations on a variety of leadership and workplace topics. Below is a list of the more popular requests.
This keynote will be an engaging and interactive opportunity to explore your authentic self – the real driver of your leadership effectiveness. Conscious leadership is where we experience our greatest power and where we learn to appreciate and trust ourselves. Being a leader is not the same as doing leadership.
Through participating fully, attendees will experience a shift that will pull them forward into more personally fulfilling leadership and away from the everyday struggle of trying to make things work. Gail will also explore approaches that support you and grow people while increasing energy in the workplace.
Getting to the core of resistance
In this fun filled and informative talk, Gail gets to the very core of resistance during times of change. The message is two fold - firstly, that all change is personal change and, secondly, that “organizations don’t change, people do!” Pay attention to the people and the results will follow. Attendees will leave with some practical suggestions on how to shift from coping with change to making change work for you.
The power of language to inspire and engage the hearts of employees
One of the first jobs of a leader is to create hope. Often these days, leadership is also about inspiring and leading transformative change. And as a leader, one of the most powerful vehicles we have to transmit our message is in our conversations and stories. Robert Fritz, in his book, “The Path of Least Resistance,” states that “an organization is but the sum of its conversations.” How we choose our language and the stories we tell have a huge influence on shaping a healthy culture.
Attendees will leave this presentation with an enhanced awareness of the power of inspiring languaging and the value of effective conversations; explore ways to enhance communication effectiveness as a leader; and learn and apply an approach to consciously raise energy in both individuals and workplaces, especially during times of change.
Attract them, and then lead them to stay – how to consciously lead the new generation.
As we know, young workers are no longer satisfied with the old leadership paradigm. As the search for new talent and the retention of existing talent escalates, leaders are learning that addressing the core beliefs and values of the younger generations provides a powerful edge in reaching organizational effectiveness. Gail sets the context for this new generation and provides attendees with guidelines to assist leaders in mastering this new game of employee engagement, a game that will attract and retain the new talent we so desperately need.
The one thing that drives everything
Trust is the currency of the new economy and the key leadership competency needed in today’s organizations. Trust affects everything else – it is a performance multiplier ... or detractor. Trust is invaluable for creating and sustaining our communication, our relationships and for producing greater results with less cost. AND, in reality, trust can be both taught and learned – it’s a way of being. Based on the work by Stephen Covey in his book, “The Speed of Trust,” this presentation explores ways to establish, grow, extend and restore trust; unpacks the 13 behaviours of high trust leaders and provides an assessment for determining your current level of organizational trust. It is engaging and informative.
